Fees & funding
WentWest / PHN funded services
Cost should not determine who gets specialist mental health care.
Mind Connections participates in programs funded through WentWest, the Western Sydney Primary Health Network, which provide subsidised and in some cases fully funded access to mental health services for eligible patients in Western Sydney who would otherwise find private specialist care out of reach.
Who may be eligible
Eligibility varies by program and is based on clinical need along with other criteria such as financial circumstances, the nature and severity of the presenting condition, and whether standard services can adequately meet the need. Criteria and available programs change as PHN commissioning evolves, so the most accurate information comes from your GP or from reception directly.
How to access PHN-funded care
Speak with your GP, who can assess your eligibility and make the appropriate referral through the PHN pathway. If you are unsure whether you might qualify, call either clinic; reception knows the current programs and can point both you and your GP in the right direction. You should not self-exclude from this pathway based on assumptions about eligibility; let the team make that assessment with you.
